History & affordability

The Dawn's School of Dance building (formerly St. Paul's Lutheran Church) was the meeting place for German families as far back as 1853. In 1931, is when it became St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Over the years, it passed through a few owners, one of which, had intentions of converting it to a Dance school, but never followed through. I acquired the building in the early 1990's, when Dawn's School of Dance outgrew the space I was using at the time and decided it didn't make sense to pay RENT when I could OWN. The unique building which has living quarters in the lower level allows me to have both my home and studio space under one roof, cutting my overhead in 1/2 compared to other studios. It is my intention to keep classes affordable, so families of all income levels can experience the joy that dance brings.
